Director - 4 Year Old Class Teacher
I have enjoyed teaching at St. Mark Cooperative Nursery school since 1976.  In 1985, I had the opportunity to become School Director.  Since my love is teaching, I continue to teach a  4 year old class as well.  I am a graduate of the College of New Jersey, hold a degree in Primary-Elementary Education with a minor in Child Psychology. There is never a year when children grow and develop more than their pre-kindergarten year.  Children at this age are full of enthusiasm and are excited to learn.  Our goal is to provide a setting in which we can develop their social and emotional skills as well as their intellectual and cognitive skills.  Let’s not forget to have fun while we do this!

I enjoy working side by side in the classroom with a parent each day.  Participation as a “cooperative” parent in the classroom provides valuable insight in the development of one’s child.

My second son is a graduate of the St. Mark Program.  My granddaughter graduated in 2009 and youngest grandson is enrolled now.  As with so many families, St. Mark is a tradition in our family.

Jen Latini

4 year old teacher
My name is Jen Latini and I am one of the 4 year old teachers at St. Mark. I have three children who have all attended St. Mark.Jen Latini

I have a BA in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I am certified to teach grades Pre-K through 8. Before my children were born I was the Assistant Director/HeadTeacher at a preschool in Trenton. After 3 years in that position I began teaching 5th grade in Hamilton Township.

I was a stay at home mom for my 3 children and returned to the classroom when my youngest child was a student here at St. Mark.

I have been involved at St. Mark as both a parent and a teacher since 2003. I wake up every morning with a smile knowing a new adventure awaits.

Mrs. Dixon2 Year Old, 3 Year Old Teacher
My son and I are both graduates of this program.  I have always believed that this program is one of the best in the country, proof in the fact we have been part of the community for over 50 years.  I have been the teacher of the two and three year old program since 1998.  We implemented a summer camp in 2000 which I also coordinate.

I am a graduate of Trenton State College with a BS in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.  I was a substitute in the township for a number of years as well and I ran a daycare out of my home while my children were growing up.  It is my privilege to teach evening classes at MCCC education future preschool teachers.

I believe it is very important that children enjoy coming to school, learning in an environment that is fun, active, and nurturing.  It is my drive that children can’t wait to come to school to discover what adventures will take place day to day.

Suzanne T. Hutchinson

Extended Day Lunch Bunch Teacher
Mrs.I have a degree in Pre-Elementary Education and have been a teacher since 1972.  Prior to having a family, I taught in several special education programs for six years.  Since then I have been a teacher of Pre-Elementary education at St. Mark Cooperative Nursery School.  I have served on the St. Mark Board of Directors since 1983, and have been an active member of the PTA for over 20 years.  I was an active member of the Steinert Marching Unit Parents Association for 11 years and was a member of the Executive Board for 7 years.

My philosophy of teaching is simple; I love to be able to have the opportunity to have a positive impact on the intellectual and emotional growth of pre-elementary children.  I enjoy seeing the skill development and confidence of children in this age group.  My goal is to carefully prepare them for their upcoming adventure in the next grade level.  I believe that it is essential that students at this age learn many vital academic skills while having fun doing so.  As a teacher at St. Mark, I am glad to have the chance to provide them with a strong foundation for their academic future.
