Founded in 1956, Saint Mark Cooperative Nursery is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization managed by a Board of Directors consisting of parents, members of Saint Mark Church, and the school staff. It is supported entirely by tuitions. We are licensed by the NJ Department of Human Services.

As a cooperative school, parents play an important part in the school’s operation by assisting the classroom teacher as helping parent. This eliminates employing assistant staff members and provides the opportunity for parents to gain insight into their child’s preschool experience. We maintain an open door policy and welcome visits from interested individuals, as well as parents—an appointment is never necessary. Children may enroll on a limited or non co-op basis.

Our Director, 3 year old Program Director, and teachers are certified in Early Childhood Education and are qualified by their personal philosophy, aptitude, and experience to teach young children. Our Treasurer/ Registrar, in addition to registering pupils, receives tuitions and maintains all financial records.
